The Elven Tongue is probably the most ancient language spoken on Dawn.
History[]
Scholars agree the Elven Tongue was probably created by the Snow Elves of Saelonthor in the year of 11. Soon, the language spread to every corner of what Marazan, being kept by some races and building upon the languages of others. By the year of 1000, every breed of pure Elf spoke the language. By the year 2000, the Snow, Sand, Moon, Dark, and Sun Elves still spoke the language. By the year 4990, only the Snow, Sun, and a majority of the Dark Elves speak the language; the Sand Elves speak the Common Tongue and the Moon Elves speak the Lunar Tongue.
The Elven Tongue influenced much of the Orcish and Dwarvish languages, as well as the Lunar Tongue.
