A raw chunk of Chouran
Chouran Gold is a champagne colored metal found only on the island of Choura. It is very costly and monopolized by the Chouran Dynasty as their main source of wealth.
History[]
Since early Chouran history, many wars have occured because of the precious metal. Chouran Gold is found all around the island, but more commonly towards the center of the island at Mount Rage.
The Chouran Dynasty gained its power and wealth by sieging Chouran Gold mines and eventually taking the mine and keep of Mount Rage, Greytooth keep as their own from House Styrke, effectively claiming all the precious metal in the land. Since then, they have been able to become very wealthy by selling the gold, only found in Choura, to Marazan and the Azurian Isles.

Chouran Gold is very soft in ore, but when melted with very small amounts of iron, forms a very malleable alloy, perfect for shaping. After it has cooled down, it becomes very durable.
The ore itself looks very much like gold and is almost entirely undistinguishable until melted, where the gold begins to turn silverish.

Chouran Gold is very often used for armor and weapons because of its malleability and durability. Because of this, it is sold for very high profits.
