Dawn gb

A diagram showing Dawn (Inner Cylinder), and the Great Barrier (Outer Cylinder.

Dawn is the infinite, ever-expanding, cylindrical plane of existance home to most beings being in existance.

Continents[]

Dawnredone

The Marazan multi-continent mass.

Dawn is home to an, like said before, infinite amount of continents home to thousands of creatures.

Known Landmasses[]

A list of known masses of land upon Dawn can be found below:

Continental Masses[]

Sometimes, known continents are pushed together, or close enough to be considered a single continent, due to seismic activity, forming mass continents. A list of known continental masses and their children are below:

Great Barrier[]

The Great Barrier is a large wall of Free Magic, or Mana, that seperates Dawn and the Thornum, realm of the Dez and moons and suns and stars. The Great Barrier is at around 10.886 kilometers above sea level, according to Dwarves, who have been able to harness its energies with complex devices known as Mana Extracters. A Dwarven scientist named Trestime Stachmus proposed the theory that the Great Barrier absorbs Mana from Thornum, and over the thousands of years since the creation of Dawn, it is estimated there is around eight times thicker and stronger with Mana at the year 4000 than at the year 0.

The farther from the Great Barrier you are, the less visable it is. This is why moons can be seen from sea level, but not the barrier itself.

Creation[]

Dawn was created and is still being created by an unknown force that created the Dez, Thornum, the Great Barrier, the Abyss, and the Abyssal Barrier.

Satellites[]

On the other side of the Great Barrier, three moons to Dawn can be found.

Saexor[]

The first moon and largest discovered. It was discovered by Snow Elf priests at around the year of 22. Its name translates to "Snow Moon" in Elven.

Deztine[]

The second moon discovered and the second largest. It was discovered by Dwarvern astronomers in the year 233, but the name was never decoded from ancient Dwarvish. The moon was claimed by Snow Elves and named "God's Eye". It is the target of the Dwarven Space Program.

Sethamtic[]

The third and smallest moon, discovered in 932. This moon was discovered by Raxians, whom named it after their greatest warrior, named Sethamis.

Directions[]

As Dawn has a lack of polar ice caps, directions can be tricky to learn. There are five directions of Dawn:

  • Inwards - Towards the centre of Dawn. Can be easily marked by a compass.
  • Upwards - Towards the sunrise.
  • Downwards - Towards the sunset.
  • Acrosswards - Left while looking at the sunrise.
  • Turnwards - Right while looking at the sunrise.
